Article source:www.olyssolar.com Popularity:508 Editor in charge:OLYS Release date:2019-10-07

The damage of solar street lamp mainly includes several reasons. 1.The battery is damaged. 2.LED damage 3. Controller damage 4. The efficiency of solar panel power generation is reduced. This article mainly discusses the matters needing attention in maintenance and replacement after the controller is damaged.

       1.Identify the type of controller

The solar light controller is divided into normal solar street lamp controller and solar street lamp controller with LED drive. normal solar street lamp controller, the output voltage is the same as the battery voltage, usually 12V or 24V. Solar charge controller with LED driver,it will automatically raise the voltage to the working voltage of LED, generally between 30V - 45V, the working current can be set

       2.The type of LED lamp

LED lamp with drive。LED lamp with drive。This type of LED street lamp use a normal solar street lamp controller, output voltage is 12V or 24V

B)  LED lamp without  drive must use a solar street controller with LED drive, and the working voltage and current of the LED street lamp must be determined and the controller must be set accordingly

       3.LED lamp power

The output power of the controller must be more than LED lamp power

       4.Solar panel Power

The rated charging current of the controller must be more than the solar panel current

       5.the type of battery

Batteries have lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries, using different controllers

The above 5 points before you want to replace the controller, you must know those, select the appropriate controller replacement. Do not install an unverified controller. Could have serious consequences.
